Types of hosting:

Virtual hosting - one physical server is rented out to several people for simultaneous use.
Virtual dedicated server (VPS/VDS) - isolated processes are launched on one physical server, which are then rented out to several people.
Dedicated server - renting an entire server from a hoster, without neighbors.
Collocation - placing your server in the buildings and premises of a hosting provider, which is only responsible for supplying electricity and cooling
Cloud hosting - the owner of this type of hosting uses the resources of several interconnected physical and virtual servers; he pays only for the resources actually used and can increase or decrease them depending on needs.
